Emily Hammond is an Italy expert and writer. The creator of the website www.italyheaven.co.uk,  she is also the author of  the Italy Heaven Guide to Venice  and A Day in Venice, a one-day guide to the city.  Italy Heaven has been online for 20 years and has been a leading resource for travellers for two decades.

Emily recently worked as Italy Consultant on the BBC TV series Clive Myrie’s Italian Roadtrip, to be broadcast in 2023.  Produced by Alleycats TV, this is a 15-episode journey around Italy, with the brief to get to know the ‘real Italy’ and explore off the beaten track. Emily advised on locations and ideas, and as the development progressed she proposed and researched stories, people, places and quirky extras, like unusual accommodation options.
